PRIVATE PATIENTS

 

A private patient is defined as a patient who does not have insurance for major medical expenses or any dependency and will have to pay on his own account.

In order to facilitate your entry, we suggest the following:

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Current official identification of the patient 

  • Current official identification of the responsible companion 

  • Payment guarantee (promissory note or credit card) 

  • Security deposit in force 

  • Order of internment of surgery or treatment of your doctor COVID protocol in force (except in Emergency)

Particular

1. PRE-ADMISSION (ACCELERATION OF ADMISSION)

In order to provide a more agile admission once your doctor schedules your admission, admissions staff will make a pre-admission call, collecting basic information and reporting on admission requirements. Admissions staff will be identified with full name and providing the extension in which you can be located.

2.- DEPOSITO HOSPITALARIO

A guarantee of payment, either pay or credit card, will be requested in order to guarantee the payment of unexpected extraordinary expenses in the face of a complication of both hospital and fees; in addition a deposit will be requested in cash or by card, the amount is determined at the time with the admissions staff according to the type of admission of the patient (emergency, hospital, surgery or intensive therapy).

3.- STATUS OF THE STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT

You must assign a person responsible for the patient’s account, to which the admissions department will send daily via WhatsApp, the status of the account statement, with the following points:

  • Total debit or balance in favor per day.

  • Annex to the breakdown of the statement in PDF.

    • Total hospital and Laboratories

    • Total medical fees

    • Total Radiology studies or other services.

  • Deposit request (admission will be asking for deposits according to how the account grows).

  •  Sum of deposits per day.

4.- REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT OF ACCOUNT

  • We recommend that you go up to date with the deposits to not disburse an amount greater than the day of discharge

  • The closing of the account by admission takes up to 2 hours after discharge "Clinic" by the attending physician. These two hours are to corroborate data and not charge less or more; They are made certificates of drugs used, leftovers or unused, corroborate amounts and interconsultas by specialists, etc.

  • After two hours, admission issues you a proof of release of the patient, which you will deliver to the nurse in charge

  • If after the account closure, and still hospitalized, the patient had any mishap, for example, that have used pain medication again, not to reopen an admission, you will be provided "payment"in the room with a wireless terminal so that it can be disposed of.

5.- PAYMENT OF MEDICAL FEES AND OTHER SERVICES

  • The payment of medical fees is additional to the payment of hospital services provided by the San José Hospital; likewise, they are in the statement of account breakdown.

  • Each doctor must send the bill directly to the patient’s manager.
